Urban Regeneration: Opportunities for Property Investment (August 2009)
This scoping study reviews current urban regeneration policy and practice in the UK, identifying how this has changed over time in order to inform requirements for future research. Successive governments have supported urban regeneration, however under financial pressure government’s role has evolved from financier to facilitator. Recently launched are Local Asset Backed Vehicles (LABVs) in an effort to attract private investment. Regeneration property has been a strong medium to long-term investment.
