Constructing an Effective Rental Value Index

An IPF report reviewing recommendations from a consultation process arising from IPF Short Paper 18 which sets out recommendations for a universal approach to the calculation and recording of effective rents. The paper updates Short Paper 18’s recommendations and reinforces the requirement for stable index provision during a transition period. An Implementation Steering Group (ISG) is discussed as a key requirement for moving forward with the original and consultation led recommendations.
