In partnership with the Social Market Foundation, Trowers & Hamlins have been working on an initiative looking into role of social value in real estate decision-making in the UK.
In March they published a paper bringing views from investors and other leading voices across the real estate sector including Abrdn, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Countryside Properties, Derwent London, Galliford Try, Legal & General Capital, M&G Real Estate, Newcore Capital Management, Urban&Civic. This paper provided a snapshot from the investor market as to the impact of positive social outcomes on their investment decisions.
In the Autumn they are publishing the second phase of their research which focusses on policy recommendations for those working in the real estate sector to maximise social value.
We would be delighted if you could join us to hear from an expert panel who will be discussing the incentives and the barriers of integrating these recommendations into real estate decision-making.
