IPF Next Generation: “The Three Little Pigs: A live case study of dispute resolution, without blowing the house down"

The IPF Next Generation Committee is delighted to invite you to a ‘behind the scenes’ look at mediation. Mediation, which is the concept of using an independent negotiator to solve a problem that has reached an impasse and would otherwise head for litigation, usually takes place behind closed doors with little visibility on settlements agreed.

At this event, two teams will, in front of an audience, battle out a dispute over a shopping centre development with the help of Mandy Lenton, a mediator with CEDR. Post resolution, a Q&A session with the panel will debate the merits, or challenges, of such an approach, before drinks to complete the evening.

Those attending the event through the IPF will form the audience and no participation is required, although volunteers to join one of the teams are welcomed!
