In May 2023, Bayes Business School's Real Estate Centre released a report on the impact of flood risk on residential property values in England. The report, based on extensive analysis of millions of property listings and transactions from 2006 to 2022, reveals:
Properties at risk of flooding sell at an average of 8.14% lower than unaffected properties, with higher risk properties experiencing a decrease of up to 32.2%.
