The IPF Research Programme is one of the largest property research programmes in the UK and underpins the Forum's wider goals of enhancing the knowledge, understanding and efficiency of property as an investment class.
It supports the UK investment market in delivering objective and high quality market analysis, as well as engaging with other financial markets, the wider business community and government on a range of issues. This role remains as important as ever, given current market conditions, and has led to initiatives such as the establishment of the Real Estate Lending Forum (formerly the Property Banking Forum), a joint group with the Association of Property Lenders, to research specifically the issues affecting property finance.
In addition to commissioning major research into major areas of interest, such as portfolio and asset management and stock selection, the IPF produces a number of regular surveys and reports, including the UK and European Consensus Forecasts and annual surveys of lending intentions and attitudes to residential investment. We have continued to build on the successful Short Papers Series, introduced in 2009, using this format to provide leading edge thinking on topical issues.
