Argent (Property Development) Services LLP, 4 Stable Street, London, United Kingdom, N1C 4AB

Since its foundation in 1981, Argent has grown to become one of the leading real estate development companies in the UK, delivering major commercial, residential, educational, cultural and community developments in the UK's largest cities.

Since 2001, Argent has planned, managed and delivered the regeneration of King's Cross, one of the most significant urban development projects in the UK. King’s Cross is the largest mixed use development in single ownership to be developed in central London for over 150 years. The 67 acre site has a rich history and a unique setting – and it is adjacent to the best connected transport hub in London. The project is reaching its busiest time in terms of construction and hence transactions, funding and tax.

When complete Kings Cross will include 8,0m sq ft of mixed use development, include 500,000 sqft of retail and F&B with in excess of 30,000 people working across the estate. Footfall for the estate in 2019 hit 11.5m and is expected to continue to grow with addition of new office openings in the north of the estate that will include Face Book, Sony, Nike and Google.

Coal Drops Yard was opened in November 2018 and comprises circa 100,000 sq ft of retail within an environment that was initially designed as coal delivery and storage. The 50 plus retail units include the Samsung brand experience space within the Thomas Heatherwick designed roof space, Tom Dixon’s design studio, restaurant and retail space, Wolf & Badgers mini department store and a number of hugely successful restaurants.

David and James will provide a brief overview of Coal Drops and the wider Kings Cross retail strategy and will set out the retail opportunity now presented, covering catchment and leasing whilst giving a guided tour of the asset.

Guests should meet at Argent’s offices, 4 Stable Street, which is located between The Granary Square Brasserie and Dishoom.
