A Short Paper examining the multichannel environment of retail space and its impact on valuing retail space. The Theoretical Productivity Model assesses store productivity in a multichannel and pre-multichannel environment, supporting the hypothesis that multichannel retailing adds value. The model outcomes compare retail sector and store locations, identifying combinations for achieving maximum productivity. Certain retailers offering multichannel retailing, such as ‘click and collect’, will benefit from increased productivity in their physical stores.
