Depreciation In Commercial Property Markets (July 2005) Major Report
A report from the IPF/IPFET Joint Research Programme, which explores the appropriate approach for measuring depreciation, outlining the model benchmark for robust measurement. Depreciation is measured, using both rental and capital values, for the major segments of the UK property market. Capital expenditure data is also utilised. Depreciation is further examined for its impact on property investment vehicles, in particular the over-distribution of income due to a lack of accuracy in allowing for depreciation.
