Booking is now open for the IPF Northern Region Annual Dinner 2025.
Ticket Price: £149.50 + VAT (£179.40 inclusive of VAT @ 20% per person). A table to seat 10 people will be £1,495 + VAT (£1,794 inc. VAT). The ticket price includes drinks reception and a half a bottle of wine per person during the dinner.
In addition to tables, there may also be a number of individual places for members or members with a smaller number of guests. Where these are accepted, they will be allocated to a Shared Table, the composition of which, in terms of other organisations, cannot be guaranteed.
NOTE: places on shared tables cannot be confirmed until sufficient bookings to fill the table(s) have been received.
This is an extremely popular event, therefore the booking conditions are as follows:
* Bookings can only be taken from IPF members who have renewed for the 2025/26 subscription year.
* Bookings will be accepted on a first come, first served basis in the order of receipt of a signed booking form only. Tables/tickets CANNOT be reserved!
* Organisations wishing to book one table will need to have one IPF member in the North
* Organisations wishing to book two tables will need to have a minimum of two IPF members in the North.

Iain Martin
Iain Martin is a political commentator, author, broadcaster, former editor, and founder of the London Defence Conference.
During a long journalistic career he worked for a wide range of titles, including the Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail and the Wall Street Journal.
Starting his career in his native Scotland as a reporter with the Sunday Times Scotland, Iain then became political editor of Scotland on Sunday before in 2000 becoming editor of The Scotsman and then Scotland on Sunday. He moved south of the border as deputy editor of the Sunday Telegraph and then head of comment for all Telegraph titles and outlets.
Iain is the author of the acclaimed book Making It Happen: Fred Goodwin, RBS and the Men who Blew Up the British Economy (2013) and of Crash, Bang, Wallop: The Inside Story of Big Bang and Financial Revolution that Changed the World (2016).
He has appeared frequently on broadcast media and has presented programmes for BBC Radio 4.
In 2022 he founded the London Defence Conference, the annual geopolitical gathering that draws together international leaders, senior military, policymakers, academia and media. He is director of the LDC, which now hosts events in Washington DC as well as London.
Iain offers a revealing look into how Westminster works, the hype, the plots, the personalities, the economics and the geopolitics, and what it all means.

Please Note: Once we have accepted your booking, a confirmation email with your invoice (or receipt for credit card payment) together with a form for your list of host and guest names will be sent to you.
Tickets, reminders to return your host/guest names for the List of Attendees, wine and menu details, place cards, etc., will be sent to you via email or post before the Dinner. If you do not receive this information it means that we have not received your booking.
