6

May

2016

1:00PM – 2:30PM

Morton Fraser, 2 Lister Square, Quartermile Two, Simpson Loan, Edinburgh, EH3 9GL

Quartermile is arguably one of the most successful, mixed-use urban regeneration projects in the UK. Quartermile is a development where business, academia, retail and lifestyle have converged excellently. Paul Curran, Managing Director of Quartermile Ventures Ltd will share his experience and involvement in delivering the project since development commenced in 2005.

Integral to the success of Quartermile – and the reason many businesses have chosen to locate there – is the proximity and partnership with the University of Edinburgh. The University has recently acquired the former surgical hospital at Quartermile to enable them to expand their teaching facilities and further enhance the partnership with businesses located there. Gary Jebb, Director of Estates at the University of Edinburgh will share their plans for the development of this Category A listed building and also touch on the wider University plans in the city.
