IPF Midlands Region Annual Lunch 2015

Booking is now open for the 2015 IPF Midlands Region Annual Lunch. This event attracts an audience of around 450 professionals from agents, property companies, law firms, banks, fund managers, insurance companies, accountants, consultants etc.

Ticket price: £75 + VAT (£90 inclusive of VAT @ 20% per person). The ticket price excludes wine and other beverages.

Pre-Lunch drinks, and a good opportunity to network, are from 12 noon and Lunch will be called at 12.45pm. Formal proceedings are due to finish at around 3.15pm when the bar opens and offers another opportunity to network with colleagues.

Our guest speaker this year is political commentator and former Minister for Transport, Steve Norris. Please see below for Steve's biography.

    Steve Norris

    Steve Norris was a Conservative Member of Parliament for Oxford East and then Epping Forest from 1983 to 1997. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Departments of Environment, Trade & Industry and the Home Office and in 1992 was appointed Minister for Transport by John Major, with a special responsibility for all London transport. After retiring from Parliament, he was twice his party’s candidate for Mayor of London outperforming the national party substantially on both occasions.

    He is a former Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party.

    Steve has combined a career in politics with a business career in the fields of property, infrastructure and transportation. He is currently Chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK and of Soho Estates. He is also Chairman of Virtus Data Centres. He is a Non-Executive Director of Excel, the National Exhibition Company conference centre in East London. He has been a member of the Boards of both Transport for London and the London Development Agency and recently served on the Treasury’s Growth Task Force for HS2. He is on the Board of Cubic Corporation, the developers and managers of the London Oyster card. Having a particular interest in infrastructure, he chairs the National Infrastructure Planning Association, which works with government to improve the planning regime around major projects and advises a number of clients on major schemes.

    He is a Fellow of the RICS, a Companion of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and an Honorary Fellow of the Project Managers Association.
