Introduction

Education always features highly on the Forum's agenda. It is considered crucial to ensure that property professionals can communicate in the wider investment arena.

The Forum's education programme is designed to ensure that members and others have access to a wide variety of formal and informal educational opportunities.

The aim of the IPF's education programme is:

  • To improve the skills and knowledge of IPF members and others and to engage them in debate about issues affecting property investment.
  • To seek to ensure that, either through its own efforts or through the work of others, that the best quality property investment education is provided in the UK where a need is identified.
  • To provide a wide range of formal education relevant to property investment, for IPF members and others in the UK and, where appropriate, abroad.
  • To provide education for the general investment community and other relevant parties about property investment.

The IPF offers a number of different educational opportunities for members and others in the market.

Post Graduate Courses

The IPF Investment Education Programme is the forum's formal post qualification course comprising eight modules leading to the IPF Diploma. There is one e-learning module, completed in your own time, and seven modules running for three days each with distance learning assessments. These modules can also be taken as free-standing courses.

We are now accepting applications for the 2010/11 cycle. Click here for timetable information.

The forum also endorses other post graduate (Post Graduate Diplomas and MScs) property investment courses.

Continuing Professional Development

We offer a regular programme of lectures, seminars, technical briefings and workshops throughout the year in London and in the regions. Lectures, seminars and technical briefings usually take place for a couple of hours in the afternoon or evening and cover a range of specialist and hot topics with three or four leading speakers in the field. We regularly attact between 50 and 200 people to these events. Workshops typically run for a half or full day and offer the opportunity for a detailed and hands on examination of a particular topic - concentrating on helping you improve your skills in the marketplace. We also run a wide variety of free, member only events, from breakfast briefings, outlook updates, debates and site visits.
